First of all, spring and summer hit and so did the busy time. That means lots of family shoots, lots of new babies, and of course weddings. I have had three already since May. That is good but it does generally take me a bit longer to get it all done. Thanks to all of you for your ongoing business. I enjoy all of you.
Second, I have had some exciting things in the works for a while now. It had to stall due to some other things that I will mention in this post. But, they are time consuming at best. I was doing them in spare time but now I am on a bit of a time crunch to finish due to another exciting announcement I will be giving in the coming weeks.
Third, I hurt my back and that really put me out a few days. Sorry to those of you I had to reschedule a shoot.
And, finally the one most close to my heart. I have mentioned to a few of you about my aunt. She is a very special woman. She has been ill on and off, more on since really October. But we found out in the Middle of March that she had a tumor on her pancreas. I was very involved with doctors appointments as she is not married and had no children of her own. She is like a mother to me and very special in my heart. After many doctors and tests and what seemed like an eternity to a surgery. Unfortunatly, the surgery brought bad news. We found out on April 24 that the tumor could not be removed. It was simply too large and involved too many important vessels. It has been a difficult road since for everyone in my family since and it still is not over. Since then she has moved to a nursing home on hospice and we had to sell all of her belongings and close up her apartment. She has had some good days and some bad but the bad are getting closer together. I do not know if you know but pancreatic cancer is one of the worst. The survival rate is less than 5% they tell us. It is also the fastest growing. I will spare the details but I need you to know that if I do not anwser emails as fast as usual or return a call as fast as usual then that is why. After visiting with her today I believe the next few weeks are going to be hard and I will see her as much as often. My boys just love her and I hope to let them see her at least one more time. She has been a very intrigual part in my own life and theirs and is one heck of a special lady. Here are some photos of her and my mom and her with the boys on a nice day we were able to bring her to my moms home in May. It was her 70th birthday. Please, pray for my family in this time.
I love you dearly Aunt Gloria, or Aunt Goede as the kids call you!
